They make us take online 'diversity courses' at work. The object is supposedly to increase 'global awareness,' ie., keep us from making jew jokes at work. We're required to select a certain amount of these courses, watch a slideshow presentation on the country involved, and then pass a test at the end. To be honest, I think I came out of these courses more racist than I went in.

And it's not hard to imagine why.

I've been told it's 'gross' that I notice these things. I think it's 'retarded' that someone wouldn't. Is it that rare for someone to walk back in a room and notice the television is off when they left it on, a door is closed when it was open, an object is here when it was put down there, etc? This does not seem like the sort of thing that should be considered a mutant ability.
